Cinega Final Scan

The final scan of Cinega’s painting is below, all completed and sent to our clients. We hope you like it too. The painting is a 12 x 10 oil on Italian Linen canvas and you can see a close up of the scan below. Her eye is just so gorgeous.

Lots has been happening here this week with the build and commissions. The electrics for the lighting are complete in the kitchen, next week the woodwork will be done between the beams. Nicholas has been cleaning the living room slate floor in the evenings and sealing it ready to put our furniture back in. There are a few more little jobs the builders need to do however thats not going to stop us from moving back in there. Next week we should also be nearly ready to get the new radiators in and it will be lovely to have some heat in the cottage. The weather here has turned a little cold and almost autumnal, summer seems to have disappeared again so it will be lovely to warm up the cottage.

I also have some exciting news with regards to a big commission thats happening at the moment. It should be complete by early next week…so keep your eyes peeled for that!

Today I have been doing lots of admin and emails for clients and have been working out our schedule for the coming months. It has been mainly prompted by lots of enquiries coming through with birthday deadlines. So Nicholas is currently taking bookings for November and I am currently booking clients into my October schedule. Its crazy how fast this year is flying by. We can only take on a few more commissions before Christmas. 聽With this in mind we have made a few amendments to our prices, mainly for the pencil drawings along with the smallest oil painting. For those clients who have already ordered however, you are still on our current price list!

We hope you all have a great weekend and there will be lost more posts next week to look forward to seeing of pencil drawings and frames.

So sensitive and adoring. Brilliant work!

so glad to hear your house is coming along. It’s blistering here in New Mexico, so it’s hard to imagine an autumnal turn in the weather – though I recently watched Hinterlands, Single Handed, and now am watching Loch Ness. It’s cooling when the temp is 95 F outside.
The painting of Cinega is exquisite – I just don’t think I’ve seen better portraits of animals anywhere.

Hi Kathleen, So lovely to hear from you, it sounds as though you are having a very warm summer! Ours isn’t that warm, we keep having plenty of rain to keep things growing. Great to hear you watch Hinterland! Its filmed a couple of hours from here, in the wilds where it remains a lot more and much more remote. Beautiful though and a very good program. Really pleased you love the painting of Cinega too! 馃檪 馃檪 Melanie x
