Welcome to our latest artwork which is a Vizsla Oil Pet Portrait of Jack. Sadly Jack passed away early this year and Justin got in touch as he wanted a portrait to remember Jack by. His initial email can be read below, we are thrilled he loves our work with Vizslas.
Hi Melanie and Nicholas,
I know this is short notice, but I’ve just found your site and was very impressed by your work with Vizslas. My wife would love a portrait of our dog Jack and I’ve already purchased a gift voucher from your site. Is there any chance you could put a gift website together very quickly prior to Christmas? It really doesn’t need to be anything terribly special; my wife would just really appreciate the sentiment. I can email a few photos of Jack to help with that process. I’m really looking forward to involving my wife in the portrait creation process. I think she will really enjoy it. Thank you very much for your time!
We did indeed create a personalised gift voucher for his wife and we arranged the photos for the portrait too. We decided a 12 x 12 oil painting would work really well for this portrait and the photo of Jack is when he was slightly younger, showing a really beautiful gazing look to the side. it works so well for an oil portrait, a very classic pose.
Vizsla Oil Pet Portrait Video
Here his a short video of Jacks portrait framed. Because there is lots of detail in the painting I got right up close to it in the video. I hope you enjoy it!
Photos in Progress
In addition to the other photos here, I have added a few photos of the portrait in progress. These photos are much closer in to the portrait that you would normally see. Nicholas was starting to add the fine detail in the photos. I wanted to show how small his brush was and how fine the detail was too.
It’s amazing. Nick did a phenomenal job. Thank you so much! Makes me miss him.
Thank you again,

And finally if you would like a portrait of your Vizsla, please do get in touch with us. We can create either a pencil drawing or an oil painting. If you would like one for a special date, please do get in touch with us as soon as possible. As Justin has done here, Gift Vouchers do work really well when you are short of time. Especially if the portrait is required for a special date like a birthday or Christmas. We are always booked up quite ahead by the time it gets to Christmas. Email us your requirements and ideas and we can work something out that’s special for you and your family.
