Welcome to our latest blog post about our pet portrait custom stationery. I felt it was time we updated.. plus I have a love hate relationship with printers. If i never have to use one again in my life I wouldn’t mind a bit! How many times in the last 25 years have they jammed, screwed up paper, splattered ink, printed with lines, printed green (many times my stationary came out green!) I ran out of ink often.
Or I kid you not. One day my printer just stopped. It would not print anymore. I looked up the error code, it had printed a certain amount of prints and during its life time and once it got to that number, that was its life span. Something in the software stopped it printing. What a waste of a good printer. I think that was our lovely cannon one. Who knows! I had to buy a new on on Amazon quick!
So i felt it was not only time to update our stationary, but to let someone lese do the printing! During the last 25 years of being a pet portrait artists, I have always believed that every detail matters. From the initial contact with our clients, right to the moment they receive their portraits.
So i was not going to go half measures. I ordered my stationary with MOO.com. Known for their exceptional print quality, I though.. yes this is going to work for us!
Our Stationery Collection
So I designed a number of pieces in Photoshop using their template.
- Business Cards: Two different designed one for my drawings and one for Nicholas’s oil paintings.
- Thank You Cards: Simple and elegant cards so that I can write a personalised note with the portraits.
- Flyers: I ordered two different types of flyers so that we could have photos on the front and text on the back. I think if i was ordering again, id get a slightly different finish as they are a bit too mat for the photo side.
I did also order stickers, but not from Moo. We found a good company with next day delivery, really not that expensive. I am super happy with these for sticking on the tissue paper but I am looking into foil stickers for the presentation boxes. So I will keep everyone updated if I find something good!
I created a short video showing the items to provide a closer look at the quality and design …..
Why We Chose MOO.com
Our decision to partner with MOO.com stems from their reputation for high-quality printing and attention to detail. In doing some research I found that artists have spoken highly about MOO for their superior print materials and vibrant colours. Also if you look on their website they have two or three examples from pet portrait artists. I wonder how we can get on there with ours!!
