Welcome to our latest blog post about a horse oil painting wedding commission Nicholas has recently painted. It is a stunning 24 x 20 inch oil painting of a beautiful horse named Jake, commissioned by a lovely client in the USA called Kim. The portrait was commissioned not only in honour of Jake, but as part of their wedding celebration held in France.
The oil portrait captures Jake’s expression and distinctive markings. As always, Nicholas used a series of reference photos to capture every detail of Jake’s character with precision and care. When our client saw the finished, framed portrait, they sent us this amazing message:

Photos of The Wedding in France
They ordered a canvas print to go along side the portrait. They took this with them to France for the big day so Jake could be with them. We love the idea that Jake was there in spirit on such a meaningful occasion. Beautifully honoured in oil on canvas.
And how wonderful it was to see the bride and groom holding the painting in their wedding photographs. All smiling proudly with Jake’s portrait in hand. It doesn’t get more heartfelt than that!
