Cat Pet Portraits Pixie and Boots

Welcome to my cat pet portraits Pixie and Boots. The drawing is a 16 x 12 pencil portrait on Italian Paper using Derwent pencils. I have really enjoyed drawing them both and the clients are thrilled. Although the drawing was 16 x 12, I cut the paper larger. This way my clients have plenty of choice when framing for space around the drawing. You can see in the photo the paper is quite a lot larger.

Finally a photo of the portrait in situ, in addition to the wonderful home décor the portrait looks fabulous.

Hi Melanie
I’m really pleased with it. I wanted it to be of a ‘significant’ size and not look cramped. Above all, the website looks fab. We did attempt to take some photos of them with the portrait, however they are sadly not performers!

If you would like to see Pixie and Boots in more detail, visit their cat pet portraits Double Cat Portrait. If you also have cats who you would like to see portrayed similar to Pixie and boots, please do get in touch. I would love to work with you. I have a soft spot for drawing cats and they are a great subject for graphite pencil. Pencil work is a classic and elegant medium which really goes well with the aloofness of cats and their characteristics.

Finally why not send me some photos of your cats to see if they would work for a pencil drawing. You can also always email or message them to me without any obligation. Visit my contact page for details of how to get in touch, or you can call the studio during normal working hours. We are usually around at our easels or computer!
