Cat Portraits in Oils

Here are the beautiful cat portraits in oils of Milly & Molly along with the portrait of Purdy too! Alan and Amanda commissioned Nicholas to create two oil paintings of their cats. The portrait of Milly and Molly is 26 x 14 in size and Nicholas painted it on bespoke sized linen canvas. Alan and Amanda also commissioned a painting of their previous cat Purdy same time and you can scroll down a little further to read about Purdy.

Amanda spent some time taking photos of the cats Milly and Molly separately and asked if we would be able to add them together in a portrait. As you can see this all worked out really well and they look as though they are happily sat in Alan and Amanda’s garden.

Here is the painting of Purdy who had sadly passed away. They wanted to get an oil painting as a wonderful reminder for them. This is how the portrait of Milly and Molly came about. They didn’t want them to be left out! The portrait of Purdy is an oil on Italian Linen at 12 x 10 in size.

As you can see I have also added a photo of both paintings together. This frame is beautiful and in different lighting is a mix between gold and silver.

Alan came to collect the cat portraits in oils. It was great to meet Alan. We hope that his wife Amanda will be too. I took a photo of Alan and Nicholas along with the paintings before Alan left for his long drive home. Sadly Amanda was unable to visit the studio due to working. However she very kindly had photos of herself with the portraits when they were home which are amazing!
